- Contents: This book has been sitting on my bookshelf at home for several decades, just waiting for me to take a serious look at its contents. It deals qualitatively with many topics in depth. For example, chapter five (of ten) covers paleoclimatology, the human era, climate change and the environment, measuring climate change, weather patterns, reasons for climate change, the impact of humans, ozone depletion, the greenhouse effect, global warming, and the increasing evidence that humans are inducing global warming.
This book has a wide scope when it comes to weather phenomena which are beautifully illustrated with both plots and images. There are many examples of phenomena photographed from space, both for earth and other solar system planets.
The book concludes with an index which is usefully also a glossary. Highly recommended for your public or college library.
